"You
can make a living from art. It's not a fairytale but it's not all
drinking coffee and standing around at galleries wearing black and
smoking cigarettes either. It takes a lot of personal motivation and a
thick skin, but I promise you that its worth it. Art has brought me
every good thing in my life."

Beta Cell Bash
"Different things grab different people. If you're an artist I think that you're going to see things differently than your average person. Do what's in your heart, what you want to do and what feels right to you, because somebody will like it eventually."
Recently we had the opportunity to visit the Beta Cell Bash, an art show and concert held to fundraise for Diabetes research, and speak with co-organizer and art contributor Katrina Lynn West about the event and the sources of her artistic inspiration.

Russ Baum & Huck Finn
"The show is always energetic whether there is one fan or a couple hundred fans and we appreciate our fans one at a time but when you have a group singing your words and/or dancing along it's a feeling that we can't describe in any way other than euphoric and amazing! It's the fans that are our driving force to succeed. Without them we are nothing but a couple of weirdo's dancing and singing to each other."
Recently we had the opportunity to speak with Russ Baum, from the Folk Rock duo Russ Baum & Huck Finn, about their music, stage show, and the impact their fans have on them.

Flow Of The Dmo
In a room full of paintings we sat and talked over cigarettes. A black light and a small spotlight, for highlighting detail, burned on an artist's easel. "It's all about attention. It's all about what you put into it." Dan Mosier told me. "If somebody cares and puts the time into it you're going to notice the difference."
Recently we had the opportunity to speak with Dan Mosier of Dmo Flowz about his paintings and the experience of performing at Live Art Shows.
Rise Of The Revenant
"I find that painting for yourself is better because you feel more confident in what you are doing and that someone else will always see something different with your work than you. So don’t always get too wrapped up in what you think someone else might like."
For this week's article we speak with Craig Roberts, a painter and illustrator from Indianapolis, Indiana about his art, Fountain Square Art Fair, and his creation Revenant Art Studios.

Dust That Hopes
"As Prometheus gifted his wisdom to his student, great chains of snarling lighting had split the heaven and the earth. They shattered the horizon - and thus the smile of Prometheus - casting the world into darkness as they stole his pride from the skies. They bound his wrists to the stone below while his creation gazed in fear, trembling to behold the fury of the divine and for the safety of its maker."
The Fear of Failure
"Fear of failure is very natural but it can and must be overcome. Practice your art in a comfortable setting and don't be afraid to make a fool of yourself sometimes. The worst thing that can happen is that you'll be embarrassed, and when you weigh that against the joy of success and the feeling of accomplishment that comes with it then you can see how small of a risk that really is."
For this weeks Write Up Wednesday article we discuss the fear of failure and how it can be overcome.
For The Love of A Doctor

Outlaw Art
"I have had my house raided by police on three separate occasions and there is nothing worse than having to sit back and watch as they tear apart your house in the hopes that they find proof that you painted a picture where the law says you can't."
We recently spoke with F1nk-0ne about his run ins with law because of his art, how he discovered street art, and the state of the European art scene today.

The Home of Graffiti
"You can surely say without a doubt that people will always paint on walls and express how they feel about man, beast, and the universe whether it is legal or not."
