For today's post we would like to honor the life and work of H.R. Giger, who passed away yesterday at the age of 74. Born in 1940 in Graubünden, Swtizerland Giger was discouraged from following his artistic dreams by his father, who viewed art as a "breadless profession". Regardless of his obstacles and the adversity he faced he continued to create his unique style of otherworldly surrealist art and has since been regarded as one of the most talented surrealist artists of all time. Goodbye, Mr Giger. Thank you for all that you have given to the world.
